When I think of Kitchen Witches, Dawn Aurora Hunt is the person who comes to my mind first. She is probably best known in the witchcraft community for her amazingly delicious Magick-infused food products and kitchen supplies through her business Cuccina Aurora. When I discovered she had a book coming out, A Kitchen Witch’s Guide to Recipes for Love & Romance, I was over the moon to learn her magickal recipes. The book exceeded my expectations. Let’s first start by discussing how beautiful of a book this is. This gorgeous hardcover book has full-color images and artwork throughout almost every one of its 200 pages. So just on aesthetics alone, the quality is top-notch. But it’s the text inside that truly shines throughout this book. The book itself is more than a cookbook; it’s a full-on love magick grimoire. The book is divided into three main areas of love: self-love, attracting new love, and rekindling the romance of your current relationship(s).

While the book is full of a ton of mouth-water recipes from appetizers to entrees to desserts, it isn’t just a recipe cookbook. Dawn focuses on how to infuse the magick into the recipes while you cook. She also maintains a conscientiousness of people’s dietary restrictions and discusses nutrition and spiritual nutrition as well. Beyond that, the book is full of excellent and practical love advice and full of her amusing and insightful anecdotes, many of which will have you smiling and laughing at points. Dawn’s writing style is highly approachable, warm, and friendly. The book is full of exceptional practical, spiritual, and magickal insight and wisdom, and you get a feeling like Dawn has welcomed you into her own home and is cooking and chatting with you in the kitchen.
